DENHAM SPRINGS — Several new businesses are on the way to the Denham Springs area, according to the City of Denham Springs Office of Planning & Development.
In the Bass Pro Shops district, designs are currently under review for a Home2 Suites hotel, and construction continues on a Bus Barn storage facility on Bass Pro Boulevard.
A Caliber Collision is also under construction next to Home Depot. Another Caliber Collision location already operates on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge.
The new ALDI grocery store is opening in the former Stage and Big Lots building in the shopping center with Petco and Planet Fitness on South Range Avenue. According to ALDI’s website, the store’s grand opening is Dec. 11 at 9 a.m.

A listing in the Louisiana Commercial Database shows that it’s possible Target is coming to the Juban Crossing area, something that has been speculated among residents for years now.
The listing states that Target plans to build a 128,000-square-foot store in a currently wooded area between the RaceTrac and The Retreat at Juban apartments. It also notes that five to six outparcels are planned adjacent to the new store.
As of late November, no permits for the store were filed.
Juban Crossing also recently opened a new McDonald’s location.
