East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies are at Perkins Rowe for some type of incident that ended with a shooting around 8pm on Easter Sunday. The shooter is in custody.
The details are still coming in but it appears it’s going to be a domestic triangle case involving a white Chevy where a woman got into the vehicle with someone near the CVS in Perkins Rowe. Because it’s still very early into the investigating stage, deputies are still piecing together exactly what took place.
Then, multiple shots rang out between the Fresh Market all the way to the Buffalo Wild Wings across the street on Bluebonnet Blvd, but as of now, officials are saying there are no injuries from the shooting.
The Chevy has multiple bullet holes and shattered glass. There are shell casings all over the area.

It’s why much of Perkins Rowe was shut down along with many entrances/exits into and out of Perkins Rowe. Parts of Bluebonnet Blvd. & Perkins Rd. were also temporarily shut down.
People are advised to stay away from the Perkins Rowe area as deputies sort out exactly what happened.
The story will be updated as more becomes available.
This has to be stopped. We are not the Wild West. Mayor needs to get on her broom and take a stand against the violence in our city😭
