DOC officer, former deputy dies from Covid at 43

Ray Guillory was laid to rest Aug. 13th.

Guillory died from Covid at the age of 43.

He was a Louisiana Department of Corrections officer for over 20 years and a former deputy with the East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office.


Numerous law enforcement agencies honored him with a law enforcement funeral procession. DCI employees as well as inmates lined the gates of DCI facing Hwy 68 as they passed by escorting him to his final resting place.

The Jackson Fire Department used a ladder truck to fly the American flag over the highway as the procession passed.
