BATON ROUGE, La: Donations are quickly needed for an emergency winter clothing drive for the homeless in Baton Rouge.
The weather drops to freezing temperatures tomorrow night, and Victory Over Louisiana Violence is trying to clothe and house homeless people living in Baton Rouge.
They are asking for:
- Handwarmers
- Coats
- Sleeping bags
- Gloves
- Hats
- Scarves
You can also make a financial donation through their CashApp at $LGevolve or call (225) 800-9806 for a drop off location.
The organization took to Facebook and said,”Just one dollar can help.”
All donations will be handed out Thursday afternoon, and they will try to make sure everyone they encounter has something to keep warm.
“We will make sure that everyone that we see and touch, to ask them if they have four walls and a roof and a warm place to sleep. We are calling upon the people to send donations,” the organization also shared.
