The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting that happened around 10 PM on Thanksgiving day.
Sheriff Brett Stassi says multiple shots were fired outside of the Tiger Truck Stop in Grosse Tete.
Two people were hit. One person died from their injuries and one person was transported to a hospital. Their current condition is unknown at this time.
Officials say as of now, it looks like there was a verbal argument that led up to the shooting.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The deceased has been identified as Dante Debose, 29, of Baton Rouge.
