IBERVILLE — Two teenagers have been arrested after a double shooting that left a 45-year-old man dead and his daughter injured.
Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi says 19-yr-old Andre Kitts Jr., of Plaquemine, and a 16-yr-old juvenile were arrested. Both are charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder.

Officials say it was around 9:12 p.m. on Nov. 7 when a daughter called 911 saying she and her father had been shot in a double shooting in Iberville Parish. Her dad, a 45-yr-old man whose name has not been released, died on the scene after he was shot multiple times. His daughter was shot one time and transported to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
UWK has learned the father and daughter lived in the tent behind the levee on the west side of the parish off and on. Specifically, they were set up behind the levee between St. Louis Rd. and Erwin Dr.
Several first responders rushed the daughter to where AirMed could reach her to rush her to a hospital.
The accused shooters did know the father and daughter.
The case remains under investigation and further details may be limited.
