Drive-by shooting at church as dozens were attending service

BATON ROUGE, La. — Baton Rouge Police are piecing together what led to a drive-by shooting at a church with dozens of people inside.

It happened just before 9pm at the Iglesia Misionera Pentecostes on S. Tamari Dr., that’s just off Florida Blvd. and east of N. Sherwood Forest Dr.

The church is said to have taken several rounds while nearly 60 people were inside having service.

Officials say no one was injured during the church shooting and that’s despite one of the rounds going through the building and into the crowd during mass.
