Two drivers were killed in separate single-vehicle accidents on Sunday night and Monday morning according to the Louisiana State Police.
In Kentwood, shortly before 9:30 p.m., state troopers investigated a single-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 1054 near North River Road in Tangipahoa Parish that killed 64-year-old Steven Sanders.
Officials say Sanders’ Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on the highway before traveling off the road and hitting a tree. Sanders was unrestrained and died at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 10, state troopers investigated a single-vehicle crash on LA 16 near LA 449 in St. Helena Parish that claimed the life of Dathan Langlois, 20, of Zachary.
Officials say Langlois was traveling eastbound on LA 16 in a Volkswagen Jetta before he traveled off the road and hit a building.
Langlois was unrestrained and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
