BATON ROUGE —- The public’s help is requested with any information in connection to a deadly hit and run that happened Wednesday afternoon in East Baton Rouge Parish.
It was around 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 22 when State Police troopers responded to Hwy. 67 at Blount Rd.

Troopers say 71-year-old James Rasberry of Hodge, LA was walking along the southbound shoulder of LA 67 when he was hit by an unknown vehicle from behind that fled the scene. Rasberry died on the scene.
Based on evidence collected at the scene, troopers believe the suspect vehicle is a 2019 or newer Nissan Altima, with damage to the right front bumper area, including the headlight and side mirror.
Troopers are continuing to investigate and work to identify the vehicle involved. Anyone with information is urged to call Troop A at 225-754-8500
