JACKSON — The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal stabbing that took place on Tuesday morning at Dixon Correctional Institute.
The incident was between inmates, and one inmate was killed, according to authorities. No employees were harmed.
East Feliciana homicide detectives are currently investigating the incident, and Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and criminal investigators from Dixon Correctional are assisting with the investigation.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No further details have been released into the deadly stabbing at Dixon Correctional.
