NORWOOD —- One person has died and two others are seriously injured after a side-by-side wreck in East Feliciana Parish.
It happened around 8:30pm on Hwy. 19 southbound between the highway and railroad tracks.
The accident is within the city limits of Norwood and the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office is assisting Norwood PD.
It’s the second deadly side-by-side accident on Saturday. Around 1:30am in West Baton Rouge Parish, a 3-yr-old girl was killed in an accident.
The cause of the Norwood accident remains under investigation but so far, it appears the side-by-side overturned landing in the grassy area between Hwy. 19 & the railroad tracks.
One person has died from their injuries, according to officials. Two others have been transported to a hospital. One of the two injured has a serious head injury.
Names are not being released at this time pending notification of family.
