CLINTON — The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office and Bluff Creek Fire District are teaming up to help parish residents after a water outage this week.
East Feliciana Sheriff Jeff Travis dispatched deputies to the LA 960 and surrounding areas that have been affected by the water outage. East Feliciana deputies will contact residents in the area to see if they are in need of water, and residents are encouraged to “flag them down.”
The Bluff Creek Fire District is providing a tanker truck to deliver non-potable water. Residents can also fill containers and get drinking water at the Magnolia Fire Station on LA 10.
in addition, the United Cajun Navy supplied the sheriff’s office with three additional trailer loads of water.
Sheriff Travis says his office has spoken with District 7 Water, and the water system is expected to be online and running later today. The East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office will continue to help until service is restored.
