The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to a body found in a ditch.
Officials said the call came around 6am on Saturday, June 11th, in the 2100 block of Gardere Ln. One person was dead and another person, who was injured, was taken to a hospital. He is listed in stable condition.
The man who died has been identified as Roberto Marquez, 42.
Officials said it’s unclear exactly what happened and how the person died. As of now, sources said it may have been an argument between two people that led to one person dead.
An autopsy will be conducted on Marquez to determine cause of death and manner of death.
