For the past month, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Unit had been investigating a drug trafficking group called the Blue Print Kids, BPK.
The investigation was into allegations for trafficking drugs and guns.
Deputies say the BPK group was allegedly being operated by Ethan Hendricks, Jacquel Bellard, Marcus Elam, Quinton Rogers and several other co-conspirators.
Through the investigation, agents learned that the group was allegedly transporting large amounts of marijuana from Oregon to East Baton Rouge and Ascension parishes. This group is also accused of using numerous guns during the transport/distribution of their drugs. Agents identified numerous locations that were allegedly being used to store/distribute the group’s narcotics in East Baton Rouge and Ascension parishes.
On June 27, 2022, EBRSO Narcotics agents and several others divisions (EBRSO SCAT, Gardere Uniform Patrol, EBRSO K-9, EBRSO Intel, APSO Narcotics) executed four search warrants at the following locations:
- 2150 General Adams
- 11111 N. Harrells Ferry Rd
- 14877 Stoneberg Ave
- 1 location in Ascension Parish
Prior to the execution of the search warrant on General Adams, deputies said surveillance units observed Bellard, 28, run to his vehicle from the house with two suit cases and quickly leave.
That’s when deputies initiated a traffic stop on Bellard’s vehicle, at which time he fled and crashed his vehicle into a home located on General Mouton.
Bellard is said to have then fled on foot.
A perimeter was set up and Bellard was eventually caught and arrested.
Inside Bellard’s vehicle, EBRSO officials said they allegedly found a bag containing money and a semi-automatic handgun as well as two large suit cases containing approx. 10 pounds of vacuum sealed bags of marijuana.
