EBRSO arrests one with help of BR firefighter for stabbing B-Quik clerk

Deputies are currently on the scene of a stabbing at the B-Quik on Greenwell Springs.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies responded to the BQuik on Greenwell Springs Rd. near Oak Villa for a stabbing around 5:30pm.

Officials say a man talking to himself walked behind the counter and allegedly pulled a knife on the B-Quik clerk. That clerk was stabbed and suffered a non-life threatening injury.

At the same time, the Baton Rouge Fire Dept. says a B-Quik employee ran out saying the clerk was being assaulted. A firefighter went inside the store, grabbed the suspect and held him down until deputies arrived to arrest him.

The clerk is expected to be okay.
