BATON ROUGE — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Armed Robbery and Burglary deputies are investigating an alleged armed robbery that happened on Siegen Lane Tuesday.
Just after noon on Sept. 30th, deputies responded to the Campus Federal Credit Union on Siegen Lane near Cloverland Ave. and the Bristol Place Apartments. The call was in reference to an armed robbery of a Loomis delivery driver.
Upon arrival, detectives learned that the driver had just unloaded money from the ATM on-site when he said he was approached by two unknown black men, both armed with handguns. According to the driver, the men demanded the bag of money that the driver had gotten from the ATM.
Officials say that the Loomis driver dropped the bag of money and one of the suspects picked it up, before leaving the area in an unknown vehicle.
The bag contained an undisclosed amount of money, according to EBRSO.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact EBRSO Armed Robbery and Burglary Detectives at 225-389-5064, or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
