EBRSO: Victim in deadly shooting was targeted

BATON ROUGE —- East Baton Rouge deputies have identified the victim in a deadly shooting in Baton Rouge Friday night.

He has been identified as Juandell Miller, 33. Detectives believe he was targeted in the shooting for unknown reasons.

The shooting happened around 10pm on Friday, May 5, at the corner of Burbank Dr. and Bluebonnet Blvd. at a gas station.

The investigation so far reveals Miller was near the gas pumps when a vehicle pulled up and fired off shots with an AK.

Miller died on the scene from his injuries according to officials.

Anyone with any information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP or the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at 389-5000.
