EBRSO investigating double shooting

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a double shooting that happened around 2pm in Baton Rouge.

It appears the actual shooting happened in the 7400 block of Maplewood Dr. but there’s also a scene not even 200 yards away on Matthews St.

As of now, officials say two people were injured by gunfire with non-life threatening injuries, and then left the scene in a private vehicle to a hospital.

It also appears that deputies have the suspected shooter in custody.

Because the scene is currently unfolding and officials are still trying to piece together exactly what happened, the story will be updated as more becomes available.

UWK has a crew headed to the scene and will update with more.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
