CENTRAL, La. — It was around 2 a.m. on March 14, 2024 when East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Village Lakes neighborhood for a shooting.
It was a drive-by shooting where several shots were fired off at a home in the 1800 block of Villa Trace Ave., that’s at the corner of Villa Trace Ave. and Villa Haven Dr.
Officials believe it to be a targeted shooting that stemmed from a previous argument between two parties.
The house was hit by bullets but thankfully, no one inside the home was injured.
This is an ongoing investigation.
