BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) SCAT and Gang Intelligence and Enforcement Unit (GIE) recently investigated multiple alleged members of a street gang known as the “Vultures,” leading to the arrests of three men and a juvenile. According to EBRSO, the Vultures are “known to be involved in street level narcotics distribution and violent acts in the Baton Rouge, LA area.”
From October to December 2025, the EBRSO GIE Unit investigated multiple people suspected of selling large quantities of marijuana. After conducting surveillance and identifying five potential locations for the drug activity where deputies say they observed hand-to-hand narcotics transactions, they obtained multiple search warrants.
On Dec. 18, GIE agents took Delton Joseph into custody in the parking lot of his Southfork apartment before conducting a “Knock” search warrant on Apartment #1070. In addition, multiple search warrants were carried out at other addresses previously identified.
The following arrests and seizures are the result of the search warrant:

- 1.71 pounds of marijuana
- Boxes of plastic bags
- 5 15-fluid ounce bottles of Promethazine syrup
- 2 digital scales
- Glock machine gun conversion device “switch”
- $12,797 U.S. currency (pending seizure)
Seized Firearms
- Glock, 17 semiauto 9mm handgun (full auto Glock Switch / Stolen through EBRSO File 23-068068)
- Taurus, G2C semiauto 9mm handgun (Stolen through EBRSO File 21-014095)
- Vulcan Arms, V15 semiauto .233 caliber rifle

According to EBRSO, Joseph was out on two bonds in East Baton Rouge Parish, along with a bond in West Baton Rouge Parish. He also has an active protective order, which was personally served on May 23, 2025 in West Baton Rouge Parish Prison and is active until May 21, 2026.
Joseph was convicted of Illegal Carry of Weapons and DWI 1st Offense in July 2019 (6 Months Sus / 2 Years Probation); of Illegal Carry of Weapons, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting an Officer on Feb. 8, 2022 (6 Months PP Sus. / 2 Years Probation); of Domestic Abuse Battery on 03/13/2023 (6 Months DOC); of Violation of a Protective Order and Domestic Abuse Battery on March 13, 2023 (6 Months Probation).

Keymond was convicted of Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm on 03/04/2020. Keymond is currently out on bond in West Baton Rouge. During a recorded Post-Miranda interview with Keymond, he allegedly stated the marijuana and promethazine located at 2280 70th Avenue belonged to him.

During an interview with Camel, who is a 16-year-old minor, while in the presence of his grandmother, he allegedly stated that the marijuana and handgun located in his bedroom at 4352 Gurney Street belonged to him. Camel also allegedly admitted that he knew the machine gun conversion device was on the handgun.

Carl Sanford was convicted of possession of marijuana on August 2, 2006 (6 Months PP); of Felony Hit and Run, and Simple Battery in December 2007 (6 Months PP), per EBRSO.
