Elayn Hunt employee turns herself in, charged with malfeasance

IBERVILLE PARISH — An Elayn Hunt Correction Center (EHCC) employee turned herself in to the Iberville Parish Sheriff Wednesday morning.

The Iberville Parish Sheriff arrested Lieutenant Paula Leblanc on March 4, and charged her with malfeasance in office.

Leblanc’s arrest was part of an investigation between the sheriff’s office and EHCC staff. Last month, three EHCC employees were arrested on contraband charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
