BATON ROUGE — A Baton Rouge family is making an emotional plea for help as they search for their 17-year-old son, who has been missing for over a month. Police have confirmed to UWK that Ernie Derozan was last seen around Thanksgiving. The family tells UWK Derozan was last seen on November 19, 2024, at 7 a.m., near the 22nd Street area.
Derozan, who is described as having dark skin and weighing about 130 pounds, was reportedly spotted in the same area about a week after he disappeared. A resident captured a time-stamped image of the teen from their surveillance camera, which offered a glimmer of hope to his family. Despite this lead, there has been no further information on his whereabouts.
The family is urging anyone with information about Ernie’s location to come forward. Local authorities are also asking the community to report any sightings or leads to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
For now, the Derozan family continues to hold onto hope as they wait for answers and pray for Ernie’s safe return. Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at 225-344-STOP. You can stay anonymous.
