The latest information from the St. George Fire Department says the escaped python from the Blue Zoo Aquarium at the Mall of Louisiana escaped Monday around 2am.
Cara, the Burmese python, weighs about 150 lbs and is 12 feet long. She’s a non-venomous snake and mainly used to show to children, but she is a very big snake.
The Mall of Louisiana was shut down on Tuesday when officials realized Cara was missing and her whereabouts were unknown. Firefighters assisted in searching in the drop ceiling for her but eventually called off the search.
The mall was reopened, but the Blue Zoo remains closed.
As of now, Cara is still missing.
