WALKER — A family in the Three Lakes subdivision of Walker has been displaced following a massive house fire. Sixteen firefighters are currently on the scene, actively combating the blaze that ignited around 4:45 p.m. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Officials from Livingston Parish Fire Protection District 4 tell UWK that they are utilizing a drone equipped with thermal imaging to monitor potential hot spots.
The American Red Cross has been mobilized to provide assistance to two adults and two children who have been displaced as a result of the incident.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard has also sent inmates to assist firefighters.
There’s currently no cause for the fire.
