Man charged with killing infant son

BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge police have arrested a man for the death of his 6-month-old son.

Luciano Livious, Sr., 25, has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish prison for 2nd degree murder and cruelty to a juvenile.

Police say the infant was transported to a local hospital with injuries on June 3. The infant died on June 5 from what appeared to be “non-accidental trauma,” police said. An autopsy ruled the death a homicide, and detectives believe the baby died from Shaken Baby Syndrome.
