BATON ROUGE — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a second FexEx driver in recent weeks after multiple stolen packages worth tens of thousands of dollars were allegedly found in a storage unit.
The most recent arrest is for Tyran Jackson, 27. It comes after deputies arrested another FedEx driver in early February for possession of nearly $32,000 worth of stolen packages.

Property Theft deputies learned of a possible theft took place on Feb. 11th involving a FedEx package that was never delivered.
That’s when deputies pinpointed Jackson as their suspect, a FedEx delivery driver. Their investigation found the particular package was allegedly stored inside a storage unit located in the 10500 block of Perkins Road.
Deputies then got a search warrant for that unit. When executing that warrant, deputies say they found approximately $62,000 worth of stolen FedEx packages inside that unit. All the stolen packages were recovered, EBRSO said.
Jackson has been arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, facing charges in connection to possession of stolen packages.
