Photos | Fiery 7-vehicle crash sends black smoke billowing during afternoon rush

BATON ROUGE — At least seven cars were involved in a fiery crash on I-110 during the afternoon rush Wednesday, fire officials tell UWK.

DOTD cameras showed thick, black smoke billowing from the crash scene near the Capitol Access exit. The Baton Rouge Fire Department says that at least two vehicles caught fire after the crash.

Photos sent to Unfiltered with Kiran shows firefighters and a charred pickup truck along with a blackened car in the middle of the interstate.

Fire officials say the exact cause of the crash is unknown at this hour. The crash has caused some backups on I-110 southbound.
