Fire at Blue Bayou Water Park

The St. George Fire Dept. responded to a fire at the Blue Bayou Water Park around 6:15pm on June 21, 2022.

There were no injuries and firefighters had the blaze under control within minutes of their arrival.

A small pump house under a ride, the “water flue”, is what caught on fire. Firefighters found a fully involved pump house full of chlorine on the Dixie Landing side of Blue Bayou at the 18100 block of Perkins Road East.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation at this time. It’s why an investigator from the fire dept. was on the scene to figure out what ignited the fire.
