Five teens escaped from detention center Thursday night

Officials spent their night searching for five escaped teens who allegedly drove off in a guard's truck.

Sources confirm to Unfiltered With Kiran that five teenagers fought guards and escaped the juvenile detention center on Veterans Memorial Blvd. in East Baton Rouge Parish around 9pm Thursday.

So far, four of the five are now back in custody.

All five who escaped were wearing jumpsuits, two in brown, two in orange and one in a black jumpsuit.

The group includes 16, 17 and 18 yr olds and sources said all are to be considered dangerous. Some of them are facing attempted murder charges.

Sources said four of the young men are accused of stealing a guard’s truck while a fifth one is accused of getting into a fight with guards at the detention center and then escaping on foot.

Three of the five were in the detention center for attempted second degree murder charges. One of the those three is facing nine counts of attempted second degree murder among other charges.

Sources added four of the teen allegedly got away in a guard’s tan colored Toyota Tundra.

Unfiltered with Kiran has learned that two guards are injured, but no word on the extent of injuries.
