BRUSLY — Dennis “Clint” Kennamer, a former volunteer soccer coach at the Christian Academy of Louisiana in West Baton Rouge Parish, has been arrested on domestic violence charges. This marks his third arrest since June.
Kennamer was taken into custody at 2 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 and charged with domestic abuse by strangulation. Sources tell UWK that Kennamer allegedly wrapped a cord around his wife’s neck and choked her.
He’s being held at the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center in Port Allen.
Kennamer’s legal troubles began in June when he was arrested for allegedly having sex with a teen girl. Kennamer reportedly had sex multiple times with a Christian Academy student. He is accused of “persuading & coercing” the juvenile, according to an arrest warrant obtained by UWK.

He was charged with two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, molestation of a juvenile, two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor.
He was arrested again in August by Brusly police on 15 counts of pornography involving juveniles. Officers were able to track photos of a juvenile to an email address that came back to Kennamer, according to police.
Kennamer was a volunteer soccer coach at the Christian Academy of Louisiana in Addis. At the time of his arrests, Christian Academy said they were fully cooperating with police.
We have been made aware of the arrest of a suspect who was a former volunteer coach at Christian Academy of Louisiana.
All employees are required to undergo and pass a state-required background check prior to working at CAL.
In this particular instance, when allegations were brought to the attention of the school, an immediate investigation was conducted, and the volunteer coach was banned from campus and contact with students.
Additionally, law enforcement was contacted immediately, and school administration provided full cooperation in their investigation.
Children should never be subjected to sexual assault and we are deeply troubled that someone would attempt such horrific things with our students.
