Four people shot within half an hour, including a 73-old-man

It’s beginning to sound like a broken record with multiple people shot in the Capital City.

On May 7, 2022, Saturday late afternoon in Baton Rouge, there were two drive-by shootings.

The first was in the 3900 block of Topeka St. around 4:15pm. Three men were shot with non-life threatening injuries. All three were transported to an area hospital. Police said the suspects were seen fleeing in a dually truck on Mohican.

The second shooting was two miles away on Cannon St. and about 30 minutes later around 5pm.

It was also a drive-by shooting and the victim was a 73-yr-old man shot above his ankle. A gray van is said to have fled the scene with the possible suspect(s).
