NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Frederick Robins, 53, on a felony fugitive warrant after a ‘pedestrian stop’ in Napoleonville on Aug. 21.
An Assumption deputy saw a man standing on Jefferson Street speaking to an individual in a vehicle, who was stopped in the main travel lane. Deputies say that was slowing down traffic.
The deputy spoke with both the pedestrian and the vehicle’s driver to tell them that they were obstructing traffic. That’s when the deputy ran a criminal records check on the pedestrian, who was identified as Robins, and determined that Robins was wanted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for felony domestic charges.
Robins was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
Frederick Robins is at the jail awaiting transfer to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
