Funeral arrangements set for Clara Carpenter, 6-yr-old killed by alleged drunk driver

Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Clara Floedia Carpenter, the six-year-old girl who was killed in a head on crash, allegedly at the hands of a drunk driver.

On Nov. 25th, Clara joined her sister Gabriella Elizabeth Carpenter and her two angel siblings in their eternal rest. Her parents had lost two already, one in a miscarriage, one as a still born. Clara was their miracle baby.

The loving and energetic 6-year-old who was affectionately called “Clarabelle” by her family will be honored at the Pentecostals of Clinton on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Visitation will be from 10am to 2pm with the service to follow. People can send flowers for the service and visitation or donate a memorial tree in her name.

She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery after the service.

When Clara passed away, she had to leave many loving family members behind her including her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents: Michael and Kristi Carpenter.

Clara was a first-grader at Bains Elementary and member of New Life Worship Center.

She loved people and was always passionate and vocal about her love for worship and Jesus Christ.

Clara’s energy, happiness and unapologetic desire for her love of Christ to be known seems to be something everyone who knew her keeps repeating.

Although Clara’s life was short, she left behind an example of love and kindness that many can admire.
