Glen Oaks student arrested after posting photo with guns on social media

BATON ROUGE — A Glen Oaks High School student was arrested Thursday after the student allegedly posted a photo in a school uniform holding two guns to social media.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System security leaders received tips about the post and reported it to law enforcement.

Officials say the school drug task force officers responded to campus to question the student and discovered the guns while searching his car.

EBR school officials say the student was arrested on weapons charges and recommended for expulsion pending a disciplinary hearing.
