GREENSBURG — A 32-year-old man from Greensburg died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening, according to Louisiana State Police. The crash happened on LA Hwy 1042 near Edward Wells Lane in St. Helena Parish.
Troopers with State Police Troop L responded to the scene around 8:20 p.m. on July 31. The driver, identified as Christopher T. Self, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Self was driving eastbound in a 2015 Chevy Impala when, for reasons still under investigation, he veered off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle overturned, and Self, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car.
A routine toxicology sample was collected for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
