$25,000, guns and drugs confiscated after Zachary traffic stop

ZACHARY, La. — A traffic stop in Zachary Tuesday netted more than $25,000 in cash, guns and drugs, Zachary Police say.

Police say they pulled over a silver Chevrolet Impala on La. Hwy 64 just before 2:30 p.m. February 28. Police say the they identified the driver as Troy Williams.

Police initiated a search of the vehicle and found 26.5 grams of marijuana on Williams. They also say they found $5,042 and “evidence commonly connected to narcotics operations.”

Williams was arrested, and Zachary Police say they worked with West Feliciana Sheriff’s Office and Baker Police Department to execute a search warrant on Williams’ home on Pine Bluff Ave. in Zachary.

During that search, they seized $25,231 in cash, 88.8 grams of marijuana and a 1 CAI AK-47 Draco.

Williams was charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I drug, transactions involving drug proceeds, possession of firearms with CDS.
