HAMMOND — FBI agents, Hammond Police officers, and Louisiana State Police troopers were at a 4 Her Beauty store Tuesday morning executing what appeared to be a search warrant. Agents could be seen removing boxes from the business and loading them into a trailer as agents moved in and out of the building.
The activity unfolded Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, at the 4 Her Beauty supply store building in the 800 block of Southwest Railroad Avenue. FBI-New Orleans shared on social media that agents were partnering with North Shore agencies conducting court-authorized activity at the location, which Hammond Police called “an unoccupied building” in its social media post.
The phrase “court-authorized law enforcement activity” is commonly used when federal agents are executing a warrant. In this case, Hammond Police shared that they were serving a search warrant.
UWK witnessed agents and others carrying boxes, totes, and other material out of the building and loading them into a white trailer parked outside. Several people were seen entering and leaving the business, including personnel wearing FBI gear.
Hammond PD and the FBI-New Orleans both said on social media that there was no immediate threat to the public. The FBI added, “We decline to comment further at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.”
No additional details have been released at this time.
