HAMMOND — Hammond Police officers are requesting the public’s help after a break-in at an On the Run business earlier this week. Two people were caught on cameras and police say they’re believed to be involved in the incident.
On July 28, Hammond Police officers responded to the On the Run on East Morris Avenue after a burglary alarm went off. When they arrived at the scene, officers found the front window shattered. During their investigation, officers learned a person wearing a white hoodie, dark pants and a light-colored backpack was allegedly seen breaking the window and taking merchandise from the business.
That person, identified as a white male, then fled west toward downtown Hammond, where he met up with a white female before the pair continued north toward East Thomas Street, according to police.
