A 33-yr-old man has died and his 12-yr-old daughter was shot multiple times during a home invasion in Tangipahoa Parish.
It happened just before 11:30 pm on Sept. 12, 2022. Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about “three or four black males entering a Rufus Bankston Road residence while armed with guns.”
As deputies were responding to the scene, they heard several shots were fired inside the apartment.
Inside, they found Donte Perry, 33, of Hammond, dead. Also inside the apartment was his 12-yr-old daughter, who was transported to North Oaks Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds. She was later transported to Children’s Hospital and is now listed in stable condition.
At this time, deputies do not know who the suspects were.
