Husband arrested, accused of killing wife and violating protective order

ROSELAND — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 37-year-old from Amite in connection to his own wife’s murder.

Johnny Robinson, 37, of Amite, was arrested on Nov. 7 for the shooting death of his wife, Brittney London.

TPSO deputies responded to a call for a shooting on Garrick Road in Roseland, LA just before 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, 2023.

After arriving on scene, TPSO Sheriff Daniel Edwards says deputies found an unresponsive woman inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound.

The woman later died from her injuries. She has been identified as Brittney London, 31, of Roseland. London was the mother to six children.

Through the course of the investigation, Sheriff Edwards said Robinson was arrested in connection to London’s murder.  

Robinson was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail where he was charged with one count second degree murder and one count of violation of a protective order.
