BATON ROUGE — Drivers should expect traffic on I-12 westbound in addition to holiday traffic after a wreck involving a big rig and a flipped car.
The wreck happened just after 8:30 p.m. on I-12 westbound near the Millerville exit after a car hit an 18-wheeler and flipped. Early reports are that triggered another wreck involving a different vehicle hitting a sign and running off the interstate.
The wreck involved four people. Early reports are all injuries are considered minor at this time.
I-12 westbound is down to one lane as officials respond and work the scene.
Drivers are asked to use any alternate routes or be very patient on I-12.
