Iberville Parish: Argument leads to one shot in White Castle

WHITE CASTLE — One person was shot and transported to a hospital after a midday shooting in White Castle.

It happened around Noon on Maggio St. when officials say an argument triggered the shooting.

One person was shot in the neck and transported to a hospital in Plaquemine. First responders then flew him to a Baton Rouge hospital. He is listed in critical condition at this time.

The shooting happened within the city limits of White Castle, which is why White Castle Police will be leading the investigation. The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.

One person has been arrested in connection to the shooting, Daniel Knowles, 22, of White Castle. He’s charged with manslaughter and obstruction of justice.
