ST. GABRIEL — A Zachary father and daughter were killed in a crash in Iberville Parish Monday afternoon.
It happened just after 3:45 p.m. on Hwy. 30 around Gordon Simon Leblanc Rd., near MSA East Academy.
Bryan Andrew Bradford, 27, of Zachary, and his daughter Rylee Skye Bradford, 5, of St. Gabriel, died in the crash. Bryan died on the scene, according to officials. His daughter was rushed to Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, but did not survive.
During the investigation, officials learned the child was a student at East Iberville Elementary School. Both Principal Sherri Pierce and Assistant Principal Justin Joseph responded to the scene. Ms. Pierce advised that grief counselors will be on campus tomorrow.
No further details of what caused the crash have been provided at this time.
