Iberville Parish: 40-year-old killed after vehicle overturned

ST. GABRIEL —- Officers are investigating to determine exactly what happened Saturday night in Iberville Parish leading to a deadly crash in an overturned vehicle.

It was around 10:30 p.m. on May 30 when St. Gabriel officers and paramedics responded to Highway 74 near 5876 LA-74.

St. Gabriel’s PD says officers found the vehicle overturned on its roof with two people trapped inside.

The driver had serious injuries and was transported via AirMed to a hospital.

The passenger, now identified as 40-year-old Walter P. Scott III of Convent, unfortunately died at the scene.

No further details have been released at this time.
