The Tangipahoa Parish jail trustee who walked off a job site has been found and arrested, officials say.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office officials say Gary Michael Frith, 48, walked off the job site at around 7:20 a.m. According to officials, Frith was working on a clean-up crew on Southeastern’s campus.
TPSO officials say Frith was arrested in the Satsuma area walking down the road. He will be charged with escape.
Frith has been incarcerated in the parish jail since September 2022 following a probation violation.
