Interstate 12 eastbound back open after one killed in crash

PUMPKIN CENTER — One person has died after a crash on I-12 eastbound that happened Tuesday morning on the Livingston/Tangipahoa parish line.

Louisiana State Police troopers say the wreck was on Interstate 12 near the Pumpkin Center Rd. exit.

Traffic was shut on the interstate eastbound and diverted at the Pumpkin Center exit. The interstate is now back open.

The cause of the crash has not been released at this time. Further details will be released later today, per LSP.

The name of the deceased has not been released at this time.
