LIVINGSTON – An investigation by several agencies into alleged child exploitation led to the arrest of a 19-year-old from Livingston Parish.
Officials say investigators with the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI-Baton Rouge Office), East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating reports of child exploitation in the town of Livingston on Sept. 6.
The investigation led to the arrest of Jesus Delacruz of Livingston.
Louisiana State Police investigators received information regarding a missing juvenile from Pennsylvania who was possibly brought to Livingston. Investigators identified Delacruz as a suspect and obtained a search warrant for his residence. During the search, investigators found a 14-year-old female who was reported missing from Allentown, PA.
Delacruz was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center for second-degree kidnapping, sexual battery, sexual oral battery, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, and indecent behavior with a minor.
The case is still under investigation.
