LOS ANGELES – Louisiana’s own John Foster has officially secured his place in the top 5 on American Idol, continuing a heartfelt journey that’s inspired fans across the nation.
The 18-year-old Addis native was third up on the Disney-themed stage singing “Almost There” from the Louisiana-based movie The Princess and the Frog. Foster’s second song of the night was a powerful and emotional performance dedicated to his mother, delivering vocals that were as moving as they were masterful. He took to the stage in his signature cowboy hat and sang, “Believe” by Brooks and Dunn. It was a performance full of soul, sincerity, and gratitude — one that left both the judges and audience visibly touched.
