Joint investigations lead to two child exploitation arrests

Months long investigations into two individuals leads to arrests for child exploitation.

Louisiana State Police report they have arrested two individuals for child exploitation. The investigations were joint investigations with other agencies.

On January 7, 2022, FBI agents assigned to the Tampa Bay Field Office arrested a Lake County, FL man on an active warrant issued by the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit – Baton Rouge Field Office.

Jordan Knight, 21, of Tavares, FL was arrested for charges related to indecent behavior with a juvenile, computer aided solicitation of a minor, attempted pornography involving a juvenile, and carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

The initial investigation began in October of 2021, when investigators received a complaint of Knight allegedly having sexual conversations with a female juvenile in Livingston Parish. After an investigation, investigators also discovered Knight allegedly participated in sexual activities with the female juvenile and attempted to produce pornography of the sexual encounter.

On February 1, 2022, troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit extradited Knight from Florida to Livingston Parish.

Knight was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail for:

-Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

-Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor

-Attempted Pornography Involving Juveniles(Production)

-Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

In Baton Rouge, on Feb. 2, 2022, investigators from the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit – Baton Rouge Field Office in conjunction with the FBI and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a St. James Parish man after they learned of his participation in child exploitation on a social media app. Jacques Folse, 35, of Vacherie was arrested for charges related to indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer aided solicitation of a minor.

The initial investigation began on January 5, 2022, when investigators began an undercover child exploitation case. During the course of the investigation, Folse was identified as having an online conversation with an undercover FBI Agent posing as a guardian for an 11-year-old female. Folse further solicited and agreed to meet the juvenile for sex.

On Jan. 27, 2022, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Folse in East Baton Rouge Parish. On Feb. 2, 2022, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Folse and placed him under arrest.

Folse was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail for:

-Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

-Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor

Bond on Knight is set at $375,000.

The LSP Special Victims Unit works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor. The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes, and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.
