La 1 southbound back open in WBR after truck spills load

BRUSLY — La 1 southbound is now back open in West Baton Rouge Parish after a truck spilled its load.

At this time, no serious injuries have been reported from the wreck.

The closure was in Brusly near the McDonald’s between 989-1 and 989-2. All traffic is being rerouted through the service road.

The truck spilled its load of limestone on La1. It’s unclear at this time how long it will take to clean up the roadway.

Brusly Police are investigating at this time. Early reports are the truck collided with a Jeep causing the truck to spill its load.
